Well, this is my first blog. Will it be interesting? I don’t know. We will see.
Blogs are just simple rambles anyways, right?
Well, it is a great Friday afternoon. The breeze is crazy beautiful! I slept with the window open last night and woke to a great, cool room! Yesterday was a little nicer of a day though, I admit. It was about ten degrees warmer with a breeze. Romeo, my lil chihuahua, and I played outside for about an hour. Well, he played, and I read.

While Romie played, I read the new April issue of ‘O’ Magazine. I am a subscriber, but this issue was particularly great. Michelle Obama, our new First Lady!, appeared on the cover with Ms. Oprah herself! If you did not know already, Oprah has never had anyone else on the cover of her magazine before.. So, she mixed things up and put the First Lady on the cover with her!!

Michelle speaks about moving into the White House stating that “…there is so much history here, that no one family can claim this space as their own.” It is really interested how down to earth she is. She speaks of calling all the workers at the White House down to inform them not to treat her daughters like little princesses. They make their own beds, they have chores.. they are normal! One of the most interesting quotes is Michelle stating that “My happiness is tied to HOW I FEEL ABOUT MYSELF. I want my girls to see a mother who takes cares of herself.”
So, make sure to pick a copy for yourself before the May issue comes out and this one is gone! Im not sure if it will be May or June, but Ellen Degreneres will be on the cover coming soon! Exciting! I would love to read her sit down with Oprah!
So, today I GAVE A DROP!
Singer and songwriter Jewel, has a charity that she started called Project Clean Water and it is really interesting. Project Clean Water targets villages around the world that have water problems, and finds sustainable solutions to provide them with safe drinking water water.
Through the month of April, if Project Clean Water can receive donations of $20,000 dollars, Virgin Unite will match that offer! So, they will turn $20,000 to $40,000! I though t that was really awesome, so I Gave a Drop today!
The minimal donation is just ONE DOLLAR, so I see it as a No-Excuse donation. Who doesn’t have a dollar? So, if you can, Donate! Jewel, myself, and so many others would be appreciative.
Easter Sunday is just 2 days away! Looks like it is going to rain though, blah. Oh well, I am suppose to take my mother to Church, and then maybe lunch? She hasn’t been feeling well, so we will see.
